Another busy week but got my workouts in for week 7 of Chicago Marathon Training. There’s so much to unpack still after moving last weekend, but it will be put on hold since we’re on vacation now, woohoo! I’m in California now as I type this. 🙂 Here’s what I did last week from Coach Dawn‘s training plan:
10 minute warm up at 1% incline
2 minutes easy at 4% incline
2 minute recovery at 1% incline
1 minute moderate at 5 % incline
1 minute easy at 1% incline
30-40 seconds with 8 second sprint at the end at 6% incline x 2 times with 2 minute recovery
1 minute at 4% incline, moderate
1 minute at 2% easy
then 10-15 minutes easy and flat. It went fine again and ended up with 3.64 miles.Wednesday – 3.65 miles, Recovery run. Found this guy along the route but he got away lol.Thursday – 3 miles comfortable pace with a few strides towards the end, then 3 miles Steady State (8:09-8:32) . Then 3-4 Drills. Last three miles were 8:09, 8:09, and 8:10. Felt pretty good but my heart rate was high for the last miles.Friday – 3.o1 recovery miles. I caught this cute little guy. Saturday – Rest day. Drove to California.
Sunday – Ran 14 miles with my sis.Total miles = 34.36. Another good mileage week for me. I’m happy to get my workouts in and now it’s vacation time. We’ll see what I can get in for workouts this week.
Last weekend we drove to California to see my sis and will be meeting up with more family at Disneyland!
Saturday we had to stop at In-N-Out for lunch. There’s one in Medford, OR now.
Most of Saturday was spent riding in the car. We didn’t get to my sis’s place until the afternoon. We had some good sushi for dinner.Then went for a nice walk and caught some Pokemon. We finally found Pikachu!
On Sunday, we went to the Davis Arboretum. It was cool walking through the Redwood Grove.
We saw these joggers while heading to a great pizza place for lunch. Then we got some bubble tea.
We also saw my cousins and Uncle and Auntie later in the evening. It was a great weekend!
