Hippie Chick Half Marathon Training Workouts Recap & Weekly Wrap (3/21-3/27)

My next race, the Hippie Chick Half Marathon is six weeks away. It was a decent week of training. The kiddos had Spring Break so I decided to sleep in when I was off from work which resulted in some treadmill runs. Here’s what I did:

  • Monday -I decided to get a little strength workout in and did T25 Beta Rip’t Circuit.
  • Tuesday – 3.01 early morning miles.
  • Wednesday – 5.01 treadmill miles.
  • Thursday – 5.01 birthday treadmill miles.
  • Friday – I did the Long and Lean BOSU workout and then ran/walked 2.03 miles with the kiddos.
  • Saturday – Ran 10.01 early morning miles.
  • Sunday – Rest Day.

Total miles = 25.06.

Thursday was my birthday. I decided to celebrate by taking the kiddos out to watch Zootopia. I liked it.img_4053Dinner was yummy. We don’t get Korean food very often.img_4067Then we finished it off with an ice cream cookie sandwich cake. 🙂img_4071On Friday, it was nice that the kiddos and I went for a run. My eldest did great for running with me for the first time. So happy lol. We also went to the library and they had an event where you can make origami. We made some origami light sabers and cups. It was fun to do. I remember making cranes when I was little but that’s about it.
On Saturday, the kiddos had fun Easter egg hunting at my youngest’s preschool event. It was a fun week. Hope you had a happy Easter! How’d your week go? Any races coming up?

I’m linking up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for the Weekly Wrap.

  1. Great week for you, isn’t the library just cool! I was listening to a local radio show that had volunteers from the library with a ton of cool kid events there! Almost made me want to go down and join in. That ice cream cookie cake looks amazing! I had so many sweets yesterday I need to lay off the sugar all week to adjust! Thanks Sherry for linking up! 🙂

  3. Such fun times with your family!
I love seeing people take advantage of the free library programs they offer. I occasionally pick up a shift at a few libraries and it always amazes me how many people don’t know about all the fun and cool things they have to offer!
I want to see Zootopia, but I need to find a niece or nephew to go watch it with, so I don’t look like the weirdo adult in the theatre alone watching it, LOL LOL

  4. Happy (belated) birthday! Looks like a fun way to celebrate. The kids definitely look like they had fun running with you! My next race is the Saturday after next – a 50K and my first ultramarathon. Eeeek!

  5. Happy Birthday. I think a movie with the kids would be a perfect birthday treat. Well, and that cookie sandwich cake too! You had a great training week with a very nicely paced long run. After using BOSU at Physical Therapy, I’m thinking about buying one for home. Thanks for linking with us Sherry!
