I’m behind on getting my recap up, but here it is. Last week I ran my longest mileage ever in one day! Woohoo! I’d say marathon training is still going pretty good. I’m managing to get my miles in. But mileage is increasing and I’m having to get up earlier to get my runs done. It’s getting tougher to wake up early and still get decent sleep. I just need to go to bed earlier. Here’s what last week’s runs/workouts looked like:
Monday – Cross training day. I did Focus T25 Rip’t Circuit. Had a great total body workout!Tuesday – Early morning 4 miles.
Wednesday – Ran 8 morning miles.
Thursday- Focus T25 Stretch. Had a nice stretch workout!
Friday- Ran 8 miles.
Saturday – Ran 10 miles outside before hubby went to work and then quickly hopped on the treadmill for 7 miles to get my scheduled 17 miles.
I felt pretty good for the 17 miles. I would have preferred to run it all outside but I gotta do what I gotta do to get it done. I’ll be doing this again to get my next long run in which will be 18 miles on Saturday.
Here’s a summary of what Hal Higdon’s plan had scheduled and what I did:
Mon | Tues | Wed | Thur | Fri | Sat | Sun | |
Hal Higdon’s plan | Cross | 4 m run | 8 m run | 4 m run | Rest | 8 m pace | 17 |
What I did | T25 | 4 m run | 8 m run | T25 Stretch | 8 m pace | 17 | Rest |
How’d your week go? Any races coming up?
Nice job on your workouts! 17 miles is 17 miles! Way to go!
