Actual: Had a fantastic race at the Tunnel Light Marathon. The scenery was terrific and even though it rained, it didn’t bother me. Happy to get a 2 min and 16 sec PR and another BQ. Stay tuned for the recap.

Total miles = 44.59 miles. It was a great week that ended with an awesome race. So thankful for my hubby who watched the kiddos while I was away and his continuous support! Also, huge thanks to Coach Dawn who’s helped me get so fast! It’s amazing as I look back to see how far I’ve come.

As for highlights from the rest of the week:IMG_1662It was such a fun weekend. On Friday, it was great to spend time with my sister and Lenora. After our run, we ended up having lunch at Pizza Professionals. They have pizza by the slice and it was pretty good.IMG_2837Then we took the Underground Tour. It was interesting to learn more about Seattle’s history and our tour guide, Dean was funny. Afterwards we walked to Pike Place Market. We ended up getting food from Piroshky Piroshky and some fruit from the market for dinner.IMG_6792On Saturday, we made our way to Snoqualmie Falls which was pretty cool to see. We just went to the observation points and didn’t do the hike down this time which gives better views. Had to save our legs for the race 🙂 .

Afterwards we went to packet pick up at the North Bend Nike Outlet and met up with my friends that drove up from Oregon that day. After checking in to our hotel, we went to check out the tunnel. It was great to see what it was like before the race. I’ll try to get my race recap up soon. But for now, I’m going to enjoy my recovery week with a week off from running.

That pretty much wraps up my week. How’d your week go? Any races coming up?

I’m linking up with HoHo Runs and Wendy of Taking the Long Way Home  for the Weekly Wrap.

  1. Congratulations! You worked so hard this training cycle and it definitely paid off. And, what a bonus to spend time with Sherry and Lenora at the race and do some sightseeing as well. It’s so cool you ran through a tunnel. I can’t wait to read the recap. Thanks for linking!
