I can’t believe the end of June is near! School finally ended for the kiddos since they had to make up a whole week due to snow days. The weather is warming up, too hot for my liking, we had two 100 degree days last week. But it’s supposed to cool down to normal summer weather this week (upper 70s-80s), which I’m looking forward too. I got in another great week of workouts and even did the Strava mile. Here’s what last week’s workouts looked like:
Monday – Began the week with T25 Rip’t Circuit with hubby and then ran 3.36 miles.
Tuesday – We did T25 Gamma Extreme Circuit and then ran 4.0 miles.
Wednesday – Rest day.
Thursday – I decided to run the Strava #MyMile challenge. I started with a 1.15 mile warm up. Then ran my mile and then ran 3.01 miles with some stairs. I got my fastest mile ever! I can’t remember the last time I tried to run a mile for time, I think the last time was in junior high school and that was 8 something. I had no idea what time I would get and was happy to get under 7.Friday – Ran an easy 5.0 miles, avg. pace 9:42. Saturday – Ran for 1.5 hours which ended up being 9.74 miles.Total Miles = 27.29 miles. It was another good week of workouts. Training for my next marathon doesn’t start towards the end of July so still just trying to maintain my base. It was fun to do the Strava mymile. There’s just a few days left to do the challenge where you have the chance to win free shoes for you and 10 followers.
As for the rest of the week, on Thursday, my youngest had his kindergarten celebration. They sang some songs and it was cute. After celebration pic.
Friday was the last day of school. They are growing so fast and I can’t believe I’ll have a fourth grader and first grader next school year.
