Time is flying! I can’t believe it’s June already. I ended up with 110 miles of running in May. I’d say that’s good mileage, anything above a 100 miles is great in my book. I’m still not training for anything yet but I am running the Helvetia Half Marathon next weekend for fun. Here’s what last week’s workouts looked like:
Monday – Ran 4.01 Memorial Day miles.Tuesday – Worked out with hubby and did 21 Day Fix, The Challenge. Tough but great workout.
Wednesday – Ran a good 5.15 miles.
Thursday – Rest day but did get lots of walking in during my 3rd grader’s field trip.
Friday – Ran 5.05 miles with strides.Saturday – Ran 8.42 trail miles on the Wildwood Trail on National Trails Day. I’m really enjoying trail running. I went to a different trail head and really liked this section of trail. It was a good rolling hills route with not too steep inclines.
Sunday – Rest day.
Total miles = 22.63 miles. I’d say it was another good week. It was great to get in some trail running and I did get in a little cross training with hubby. I’m looking forward to the Helvetia Half Marathon on Saturday. It’s a tough and hilly course but I’m excited since it’s a new race for me.
As for the other highlights of the week:
On Wednesday, I chaperoned my third grader’s field trip. It was an exciting one to downtown Portland for a walking bridge tour. We took the Max Train down and had a good time listening to the guide talk about the history and structure of the bridges in Portland. We walked across three of the bridges and ended up with about 4.5 miles of walking. It was pretty good exercise for everyone, especially for the third graders. We got awesome views too!
Oh and we had to partake in National Donut Day on Friday. 🙂
Did you enjoy a donut on National Donut day? How’d your week go? Any races coming up?
I’m linking up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for the Weekly Wrap.
Definitely a great week and nice May miles! How fun to go along on the field trip. I did not partake of a donut. The day sort of got away from me!

I agree with you that any month above 100 miles is a good month! I think I ended up with 88 miles? I’ll take it.
I didn’t even know it was National Donut Day. Whew! Dodged that bullet…

Great job on your May mileage! That field trip sounds like fun. We went to the zoo (we go every year) and while I do not really like going there, I go because my kids enjoy going and they always have fun.
