Since I’m not training at the moment for something (marathon training starts in 3 weeks), I’m taking it somewhat easy, at least running wise. This week I started with some Insanity Max 30 workouts and boy was I sore the next day. It’s been a while since I’ve done Insanity type workouts. My triceps were really sore! I forgot how fun the workouts were lol. Tough but great workouts! Here’s what I did last week:
Monday – Started the day with Insanity Max 30- Cardio Challenge with hubby, had a good workout. Then I ran 2.55 miles, avg. heart rate 138.
Tuesday – Another early workout with hubby, Insanity Max 30 Tabata Power.
Wednesday – I was sore from the Max 30 workouts, but I ran 3 rainy miles, avg heart rate was 135.
Thursday – Rest day. I was still sore from the Insanity workouts, especially my triceps.
Friday – I ran 4 miles, avg. heart rate 136.Saturday – Started with a workout with the fam. We did 21 Day Fix Extreme’s The Fix Challenge. It’s not everyday my kiddos want to work out with us. They did great! It was a tough workout!
Afterwards, I ran 4.5 miles, avg. heart rate 140.
Sunday – Rest day.
Total miles = 14.08 miles. So still running while mixing it up with the dvd workouts.
As for the rest of the week, here are the highlights:
On Thursday I volunteered to help with my 3rd grader’s field trip. We went to the Tillamook Forest Center. It was nice to learn about the forest and how it’s regrown after four major fires from 1931-1951. They also touched on salmon, their habitat and life cycles, since that’s what they’re learning about in school.
We went to the park a few times after school, especially when it was nice out.On Saturday, the kiddos did a little trick-or-treating at a nearby mall.
It’s always fun to see everyone in costumes. Are you dressing up for Halloween? Have a Happy Halloween!
I’m linking up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for the Weekly Wrap.
We don’t celebrate Halloween here in France, but I am sure some of the kids will get dressed up. Enjoy your down time before starting your next training cycle. I am in the middle of taper and loving it.

Nice week! Yeah my triceps are sore after each strength training workout I’ve been doing on Thursdays. It’s good to work them again! Nice family workout on Saturday! Have fun trick or treating with the boys tonight!

I had bought one of the Insanity box sets one year in hopes i would get into it. And that wasn’t the case. They are so hard and I am super sore the next day which makes me not want to continue. That’s great that your kids wanted to work out with you.

How nice to be taking it easy with your runs! I’m back in training mode, already. (What was I thinking? HA) It looks like your kids have all the workout moves down pat. How cute! Enjoy the remaining time until marathon training starts back. Thanks for linking, Sherry!

How fun to see your kids working out with you and your husband! I love the message you are sending them. Looks like they had a ball for Halloween too. I dressed up for my race only. Actually Monday was pretty quiet for us but it was ok with it since I saw so much in New Orleans over the weekend! You know it’s too bad they don’t make eye-bleach for some of the stuff I saw!
Have a great week Sherry!
