Race day is coming soon! Saturday will be my second half marathon of the year. I’ve never ran the Hippie Chick Half Marathon before so I’m looking forward to it. Last week’s of workouts went fine. Here’s what I did:
- Monday – Started with 22 Min Hard Corps Resistance 2 and then ran 2.0 miles.
- Tuesday – Did 22 Min Hard Corps Cardio 2 and then ran 3.01 miles.
- Wednesday – Ran a fast 5.51 miles.
- Thursday – Rest Day.
- Friday – Ran 3.01 easy miles.
- Saturday – Ran 5.51 fast miles.
- Sunday – Rest day.
Total miles = 19.04 miles.
Not very many miles since it was a taper week. I’m still sort of following the My Asics app. I did well with this plan last time so I decided to just go with it for this half too. I did end up with 109 miles for the month. Woohoo, I reached my goal of at least 100 miles for the month!
But it was a busy week. Our house was put on the market and there was an open house on Saturday. Hopefully someone makes an offer soon.
On Saturday, we celebrated my oldest son’s birthday. He turned eight. It was nice that my parents came down to celebrate. We went to a place called John’s Incredible Pizza and the kiddos had a blast. It was also nice to see my sister-in-law who happened to be in town join in on the celebration.For dinner, it was 8 year old’s choice and he picked Mongolian.Then we had cake at home.
