Week 3: My 5 fave stretches and 3 tips for toning your body!

I can’t believe it’s already week 3 of the #BosuStrong challenge, time flies when you’re having fun! Last week we focused on balance and I was proud of myself for completing all five days of the challenge.

Here’s my favorite pic from last week’s challenge:

This week it’s all about stretching and toning – so make sure you join in on the fun!
Since we’re talking about stretching here are 5 of my all time favorite stretches:

  • I love to stretch my legs by doing the quad stretch.
  • My favorite total body stretch is runner’s lunge.
  • I swear when I do this glute stretch, it feels like my glutes are happy. They’ve been really sore lately. 
  • I stretch my mind by doing an overhead stretch
  • I try to stretch out of my comfort zone by doing hard poses like the crow pose every now and then

And if you’re looking for a great way to tone your body here are my fave 3 tips (tricks, advice, words of wisdom, etc):

1. Drink lots of water and stay away from soda. All I drink is mostly water and tea.IMG_9734

2. Besides running, mix it up with cross training. Adding strength training has helped tone my body and improve my overall fitness.
 3. Eat well. They say abs are made in the kitchen. Try to eat whole foods, mostly veggies and fruits. I add a nutrient dense drink like Vega One to get added nutrients which is convenient for me.Best-vegetables

  1. Great demonstration of some great stretches. That crow pose looks awesome and like a nose-breaker for me! haha You are doing great work with all your running, cross training, strength, stretching, nutrition – everything!
