I’m linking up for the first time for the Tuesdays on the Run linkup with MCM Mama Runs, My No-Guilt Life, and Run the Great Wide Somewhere.

Their topic for this week is Show Us Your Bling! So here’s my bling so far. I don’t have very much yet compared to many but it’s getting there. This year my collection of bling has grown tremendously. 2014 has been the year I’ve ran the most races. I ran 8 races which includes two virtuals and now I’m hooked.I would say the most unusual and cool medal I have is from the last race I ran, the Halloweenathon 10k from Uberthons. Their medals are fabulous! The skeleton’s eyes light up if you turn on the switch on the back. The detailing is nice and the circle at the top where it says Halloweenathon 2014 can be taken out and worn as pin. Pretty neat. Also, it’s pretty big and heavy compared to the other medals from other non Uberthons races. 

The next medal I wanted to highlight is the medal I got from the Cherry Blossom 10 mile Run in 2013. It was the first race I travelled a good distance to run. I’m on the West coast so I had to travel pretty far to Washington DC where the race was held. It’s an awesome medal because of the fun time I had seeing the sites and I got to spend time with my sister who lives in New Jersey. It was awesome getting to visit and run the same race with her. I just found out I got into the NYC half and she did too! So I get to travel and run another race with her. 🙂

Another favorite medal of mine is from the Oregon Half Marathon I ran this year. It’s another one from Uberthons. It’s the race I PR’d on my half marathon time! 🙂 It’s the same size as the Halloweenathon medal and there’s the circular pin that comes out as well.
