It’s great not having a set schedule for a change but I do have a half marathon, the Hippie Chick Half Marathon, in two weeks. I won’t be racing it so it will be just for fun. But here’s what I did last week:
Monday – Worked out with hubby and did Insanity Max:30 Cardio Challenge and then ran 3.07 miles.
Tuesday – Did Insanity Max:30 Tabata Power with hubby.Wednesday – Another early workout with hubby and did Insanity Max:30 Sweat Intervals and then ran 3.1 miles with some strides.
Thursday – Ran 5.0 miles with a few strides.Friday – Rest day.
Saturday – Ran 8.0 miles. It was a beautiful day for a run. I’m so tired of the rainy weather and glad it was nice out.Sunday – Rest day.
Total miles = 19.17 miles. It was great getting some workouts in with hubby but boy did I get sore afterwards. My calves got the most sore after all the jumping and bouncing around. I forgot how tough they were. I think this week we’ll switch up the DVDs haha. Things are going okay running wise. I’ll try to get more miles in this week.
As for April miles, I ran 93.48 miles. I’d say it was a good month especially after the marathon.Besides running and workouts, Saturday was a fun day. We celebrated my big boy’s birthday at John’s Incredible Pizza with some of his friends and cousin. I can’t believe he’s 9 now! Time sure is flying. I still remember when he came 5 weeks early. He’s so big now!
For his birthday dinner, he wanted to go to Little Big Burger. These burgers look little but are 1/4 pound burgers and are delicious.
Also during the week, I got some awesome Health Warrior Bars. I’m excited to be an ambassador for Health Warrior. Love the pumpkin seed dark chocolate bars! If you would like to get 30% off at the Health Warrior shop, you can use this code: happyrunningmom130.
Have you tried any Health Warrior products? How’d your week go? Training for any races?
I’m linking up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for the Weekly Wrap.
Those workouts with hubby looked very tough!! Happy Birthday to your 9 year old!! Last year before 2 digits!

April was a great month for you! Does your husband do these workouts all the time? I’ve never even heard of Health Warrior bars. I need to give them a try. Your little ones are growing up fast. That looks like a fun place for a birthday! And of course, I’d pick a burger for my birthday too. Thanks for linking, Sherry!

Thanks Holly! He doesn’t do the workouts all the time. He always says I’m his motivation and likes doing them when I do them with him. Occasionally he does them by himself. Hope you try the Health Warrior bars, they are delicious! They have so many different kinds too. Thanks for having the link up! 🙂
