Hippie Chick Half Marathon Training Workouts Recap & Weekly Wrap (4/11-4/17)

There’s three weeks until my next half marathon. I have still been busy cleaning/decluttering our house so that we can sell it. If you haven’t been reading, we’re in the process of buying a new home. I hear the market in our area is great and that houses sell really fast, but we’ll see when we put up our house for sale in two weeks. But I thought it was another good week of workouts. Here’s what I did:

  • Monday – 22 Min Hard Corps Cardio 1 with hubby and ran 2 treadmill miles.
  • Tuesday – Ran 5.01 miles.
  • Wednesday – Another 22 Min Hard Corp Resistance 1 workout with hubby and 2.01 miles.
  • Thursday – Rest Day.
  • Friday – Ran 4.01 miles.
  • Saturday – Ran 11.01 miles.
  • Sunday – Rest Day.

Total miles = 24.04 miles.

I’d say I’m still doing pretty good with my workouts. They are great stress relievers. I’m still mostly following the My Asics app for my training plan, especially for the long runs. It had me scheduled for 11 miles at 8:19 pace and I was at 8:22 avg. I’m happy with it. I get to run it again next weekend. So I’ll see if I can get closer to the guideline pace.

Here are some other highlights of the week:

Friday was crazy hair day for my 7 year old. He wanted to add some color and he chose red:

On Saturday, my kiddos tested for their next martial arts belts. My 7 year old got his Warrior Juniors black belt. He’ll be going into either the Fusion or Taekwondo class next. My 5 year old got his Little Warriors advanced blue belt. I’m so proud of them. img_4595img_4590A pic with their teacher. Overall, it was a great week! We also did some fun house stuff like picking flooring, cabinets, and other options.

How’d your week go? Any races coming up? I’m linking up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for the Weekly Wrap.

  1. A new house is so exciting! But, I see where the runs are coming in handy for stress relief too. There are so many decisions to make! One of my boys went through martial arts. Just wait until they start breaking boards. That was always my favorite part and his too. That’s an incredible pace for an 11 mile run! Thanks for linking with us Sherry!
