It was a good week of workouts. I’m still mostly following Hal Higdon’s intermediate 1 marathon training plan with DVD workouts on some days. It was week 4 on that plan. I’m also continuing the Runner’s World Run Streak. There’s one more week left since it ends on July 4th. Woohoo!
Here’s what last week’s of workouts looked like:
Monday – Ran a mile to continue the streak and then did Focus T25 Total Body Circuit.
Tuesday – Ran three miles.Wednesday – Had a nice early morning 6 miler.
Thursday – Ran a mile and then did Insanity Max: 30 Pulse and Ab Attack. It was my first time doing both. Pulse is a great recovery day workout and Ab Attack was good too except there was some of the same moves from Pulse.
Friday – Ran a nice 6 miles.
Saturday – Ran 7 miles before hubby went to work and then ran 4 miles on the treadmill to get my 11 mile total.
Sunday – Ran a mile to continue the streak for day 35 of the #RWRunStreak.
Now on to the weekend update. On Friday, my hubby and I celebrated 11 years together. Wow, I can’t believe it’s been that long already. This is not a recent pic but I like it. 🙂
On Saturday, the highlight of the day was my seven year old getting his Warrior Junior’s brown belt. He did a great job!

How’d your weekend go? Did you race?
I’m linking up with Tara from Running ‘n’ Reading for the Weekend Update.
You’re a running machine!
No races last weekend; I have one on the 4th.

Nice work with the training. Congrats on the little guy’s brown belt! That’s awesome. My boys don’t practice anymore but I remember the huge accomplishment they felt after belt tests.

Wow, lots of running this past week. When exactly is your marathon ? I am a bit afraid of trying a run streak. I am afraid I would get bored, injured or both.

Congrats on still going strong with the RWrunstreak while simultaneously doing the insanity workouts! I tried to do both the run streak and p90x3 daily and only made it to day 25, and that sure wasn’t easy at all. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Janine! I haven’t been doing insanity daily but try to get a workout in every now and then in between running. Great job on your workouts! 🙂
