Recovery Week after CIM and Weekly Wrap (12/4-12/10)

Last week was recovery week after the California International Marathon(CIM). I decided to take the whole week off of running, which was nice. It was good to take a break. I especially liked not having to get up early for work. My quads and calves were pretty sore after the race. But I’m ready for a run tomorrow.

Monday – Rest day.
Tuesday – Rest day.
Wednesday – Rest day.IMG_0619Thursday – Walked 2 miles.
Friday – Rest day.IMG_0618Saturday – Walked 1.1 miles. The kiddos wanted to play wall ball so we did. It brought me back to the good old days lol. I loved playing wall ball in elementary school. My 7 year old said I was a master :).IMG_0621It was good recovery week but I’m ready to get back into running.

  1. I love that you took a real recovery week after the marathon! I think too many runners ignore the “recovery” part after a huge race. Now you’ll be nice and rested before getting back into running this week!

  2. You’ve had so many early morning runs leading up to CIM. I bet it was heavenly to sleep in for a few days but I can totally relate to the itch to get back out there and run. The weather in Oregon looks lovely!
