Last Week’s Workouts and Weekly Wrap (6/19-6/25)

I can’t believe the end of June is near! School finally ended for the kiddos since they had to make up a whole week due to snow days. The weather is warming up, too hot for my liking, we had two 100 degree days last week. But it’s supposed to cool down to normal summer weather this week (upper 70s-80s), which I’m looking forward too. I got in another great week of workouts and even did the Strava mile. Here’s what last week’s workouts looked like:

Monday – Began the week with T25 Rip’t Circuit with hubby and then ran 3.36 miles.

Tuesday – We did T25 Gamma Extreme Circuit and then ran 4.0 miles.

Wednesday – Rest day.

Thursday – I decided to run the Strava #MyMile challenge. I started with a 1.15 mile warm up. Then ran my mile and then ran 3.01 miles with some stairs. I got my fastest mile ever! I can’t remember the last time I tried to run a mile for time, I think the last time was in junior high school and that was 8 something. I had no idea what time I would get and was happy to get under 7.IMG_6107Friday – Ran an easy 5.0 miles, avg. pace 9:42. IMG_6152Saturday – Ran for 1.5 hours which ended up being 9.74 miles.001 (11)Total Miles = 27.29 miles. It was another good week of workouts. Training for my next marathon doesn’t start towards the end of July so still just trying to maintain my base. It was fun to do the Strava mymile. There’s just a few days left to do the challenge where you have the chance to win free shoes for you and 10 followers.

As for the rest of the week, on Thursday, my youngest had his kindergarten celebration. They sang some songs and it was cute. IMG_6085IMG_6102After celebration pic.

Friday was the last day of school. They are growing so fast and I can’t believe I’ll have a fourth grader and first grader next school year.IMG_6139IMG_6141

  1. Wow, your kids had to makeup a whole week of snow days? Yikes! I am happy we did not have any this year. Congrats on your fastest mile! I saw the challenge but I am not a big fan of Strava. I use Garmin and that is why I use to track my miles. Isn’t Strava the same thing? Or maybe I am missing something since many people are on it?

    1. Yeah, so weird to get out so late. Thanks Zenaida! I use a Garmin too but you can set up Strava so the data goes there too. I like their challenges and there is a lot of people on it. It was especially nice to do the Lululemon challenge where I got a free shirt and shorts. 🙂

  2. Another great week for you! Awesome job on your Strava mile. I am hoping to do it sometime this week. Yay for summer vacation for the kids! Crazy how fast the school year goes. Looking forward to seeing you guys next week! 🙂
