Last Week’s Workouts and Weekly Wrap (6/12-6/18)

Another week of workouts has wrapped up and things are going okay. Nothing too exciting this week. I did get my recap up from last Saturday’s race, the Helvetia Half Marathon. It was a rainy and hilly one. Be sure to check it out. 🙂 I don’t have any races coming up soon except the Oregon Summer Half Marathon, which I’ll be pacing on July 22. I’m also thinking about signing up for a 5k in July. We shall see. But here’s what last week’s workouts looked like:

Monday – Started the week off with P90X3, the Warrior with hubby and then ran an easy 3.1 miles.IMG_5852001 (6)Tuesday – I didn’t get up early enough to get a workout in with hubby and ended up running 4.01 miles with some strides. I had to stop to get a pic of this cool snail.001 (7)Wednesday – I was surprised to see a deer on my run. I ran through a small park with mostly neighborhoods around. Ran a good 5.05 miles, avg. pace 9:35.001 (8)Thursday – Fun run in the rain. Ran 5.01 miles which included 6 x 30 sec fast/2 min recovery. 001 (9)Friday – Rest day.

Saturday – Went for a trail run and ended up with 6.69 miles, avg. pace 11:09. I’m still loving trail running. It was a little muddy in some spots but not bad overall.
001 (10)Total Miles = 23.86 miles. I’d say it was another good week of workouts. Trail running was the highlight for me. It’s always fun, even though it’s tougher but the scenery makes up for it.

As for the rest of the week, we ended up celebrating Father’s Day on Saturday since I work on Sunday. Per hubby’s request we went to a Korean place for lunch and watched Wonder Woman. IMG_5997I thought it was a good movie. I didn’t know the story behind it and was pleasantly surprised. Wonder Woman rocks!

Near the theater, by a candy store, there was this interesting robot that I got a pic with the kiddos. IMG_5994How’d your week go? Watch any good movies lately? Any races coming up?

I’m linking up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for the Weekly Wrap.

There’s a new Guest Host Series for the Weekly Wrap to give Holly and Tricia a break and this week’s host is Tara from Run and Live Happy

  1. I would love to see a deer on my run! That would be awesome! I wish I had some trails near me. I would love to run with that scenery! I’ve heard really good things about Wonder Woman. It sounds like you had a great week of running. I hope you have a great week of running this week!
