Last Week’s Workouts and Weekly Wrap (5/15-5/21)

Another week of workouts is done. Nothing too exciting last week. I got in a few strength workouts and I’m just trying to maintain my base. But I’m looking forward to pacing at the Oregon Spring Half Marathon this Saturday. It should be fun but hopefully not too hot out. Here’s what I did last week:

Monday – Started the week with P90X3 – The Warrior with hubby and then ran 3.0 recovery miles. MyΒ Hippie Chick Half Marathon race recap will be up soon.IMG_4979001Tuesday – I did P90X3 Incinerator with hubby. It’s a good strength workout. Then I ran 3.03 miles with a few strides.Β IMG_4980001 (1)Wednesday – Rest day. It was supposed to be my off day from work but had to go in for a class.

ThursdayΒ – Ran 5.01 miles.001 (2)Friday – Ran 3.3 miles. It’s been a while since I ran on this short but fun trail.001 (3)SaturdayΒ – Ran for 1.5 hrs and ended up with 9.83 miles.001Total miles = 24.17 miles. It was a nice week of workouts. I’m enjoying the sunshine and glad the rain is gone for now.

As for the other highlights of the week:

We went to the park a couple of times. I even went biking for the first time this year with the kiddos.FullSizeRender 60My kiddos have gotten into fidget spinners. I can’t believe how popular they’ve become.

We went to the first Cracker Barrel on the West Coast. I think the last time I went to a Cracker Barrel was in Georgia while visiting my inlaws. That was awhile ago. It’s the same as I remembered, with theΒ old country feel. The French Toast was pretty good.

  1. When we drove to Florida, we’d always stop at Cracker Barrel. It’s decent and reliable–when you’re on the road with kids, that’s what you want!

    Looks like another good week for you. That trail is so pretty!

  2. I love Cracker Barrel! i don’t get to go to often because it’s about a 45 minute drive from my house, but the food never disappoints!

    I love that you were able to go biking with the kiddos!

  3. Those fidget spinners are crazy popular! It seemed like just about every store we went into down at the beach they had them! I’m not sure what the big deal is though. Yall don’t have Cracker Barrel there? OMG we live on that stuff lol!

    I’m a teacher and I hate those fidget spinners…lol
    Cracker Barrel’s are pretty common here on the East coast but I haven’t been to one in a while even though I drive by one every day on my way home from work!

  5. Nice you’ve got Cracker Barrel now. Where is it near you anyway? Lol, the boys just got their fidget spinners today. They aren’t allowed to have them in class or they will be taken away.

  6. Nice week of workouts! That is one gorgeous trail. I can’t wait to hit the trails more if it ever dries up enough. We have a spinner in the house too!
