Shamrock Run Portland Half Marathon Training Workouts Recap & Weekly Wrap (2/22-2/28)

Another week done and just two weeks until my first half marathon of the year, the Shamrock Run Half Marathon. This week ended on a great note with my first race of the year, the Mommathon 10k. But here’s what I did during the week:

  • Monday – Started the week with some strength training with hubby and did Chisel Endurance.
  • Tuesday – Ran 3 early morning miles before work.
  • Wednesday – 6 treadmill miles after my youngest’s preschool field trip.
  • Thursday – I did  P90X3 Yoga.
  • Friday – Ran 3 miles.
  • Saturday – Mommathon 10k
  • Sunday – Ran 3 miles.

I ended up running 21.14 miles for the week. I didn’t run the scheduled 11 miles on Saturday since I had the race, but I had an awesome race day! I got a PR, woohoo! Race recap coming soon.

One of the highlights of the week was going to my little guy’s field trip on Wednesday. They went to a little gym place called the Gym Nest where they did some gymnastics type exercises. My kiddo had fun. Then on Friday, it was family fun night at my 7 year old’s school. There were bouncy houses, auctions to raise money for the school, face painting, etc..

The even had three food carts. My kiddos enjoyed their mac’n’cheese and cheese quesadilla. It was fun to get a photo booth pic.img_3400

It was nice looking at the boards outside the classroom with my 7 year old’s work. Here’s what my 7 year old will look like when he’s 100, haha.

Here’s an engineering type project they had. They had to make something with the number 100.On Saturday, after the Mommathon 10k, we celebrated afterwards and went to Red Robin. Yumm.. Love sweet potato fries! They are healthier right? 😛

How’d your week go? Any races coming up?

I’m linking up with HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin for the Weekly Wrap.
